Judge Jennifer Torrington (Ret.)
JUDGE TORRINGTON'S BIO
The Honorable Judge Jennifer Torrington (Ret.) served with distinction as a judicial officer from 2004 until 2025 in Denver, Colorado. She presided in domestic, criminal, civil, and juvenile divisions. She has dedicated much of her professional life to working with families and children involved with the judicial system.
Judge Torrington was honored to receive the Distinguished Jurist Award from the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, Colorado Chapter, in 2020. Judge Torrington and her colleagues on the Paraprofessionals and Legal Services Subcommittee were also honored to have been awarded the Institute for the Advancement of the American Legal System Rebuilding Justice Award in 2025.
Judge Torrington has presented on issues related to domestic law and practice at the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, the Family Law Institute, the Domestic Relations & Probate Institute, the Licensed Legal Professionals Practicum, the Advanced New Judge Orientation, and the Colorado Judicial Conference.
She has served on the Colorado Child Support Commission, the Judicial Well-Being Committee, and co-chaired the Licensed Legal Paraprofessionals (LLP) Subcommittee of the Colorado Supreme Court Advisory Committee.
Judge Torrington enjoys mentoring attorneys through the Metro Volunteer Lawyers Program as well as serving as a mentor to judicial officers that are assigned to a domestic division.
Judge Torrington has completed Mediation and Advanced Mediation courses through the National Judicial College and the 40 Hour Mediation Training through the Colorado Bar Association. Judge Torrington has engaged in ongoing training for over 25 years in the areas of substance abuse and addiction, mental health needs, child development, and domestic abuse.

Judge Rayna Gokli (Ret.)
JUDGE GOKLI'S BIO
The Honorable Judge Rayna Gokli (Ret.) was appointed as a District Court Judge in the 17th Judicial District in 2019 and retired in 2025. During her six years on the bench, Judge Gokli presided over domestic relations, civil, and criminal dockets. Prior to her appointment to the bench, Judge Gokli was a Senior Lead Deputy District Attorney in the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s office.
Judge Gokli has presented on issues related to domestic law and practice, including at the Family Law Institute, Colorado Bar Association Ethics Update, Colorado Judicial Conference, New Judge Orientation, LLP Practicum, and the Domestic Relations and Probate Institute. Judge Gokli has also completed the 40-Hour Mediation Course through the Colorado Bar Association.
Judge Gokli has had a career dedicated to public service. Judge Gokli is currently a member of the Colorado Licensed Legal Paraprofessionals (“LLP”) Oversight Committee. She has served as secretary of the South Asian Bar Association of Colorado and as Board Chair for the Center for Legal Inclusiveness. While working at the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s office, Judge Gokli served as chair of the Diversity and Inclusiveness Committee and was the creator of a mentorship program for new prosecutors. Judge Gokli is also passionate about mentoring law students as they enter the legal profession. She has worked as an adjunct professor at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
In 2014, Judge Gokli was honored to receive the Governor Ralph Carr Award from the Asian Pacific American Bar Association. Each year, this award is given to an attorney who has exhibited a commitment to public service through public sector work or a substantial commitment to community service.
